Derek was a family man. He worked hard to provide for his beautiful family. He was known and loved by many and would be there to lend a hand to anyone on hard times.

Later in life, Derek was diagnosed with COPD and soon his health meant he was no longer able to work, and eventually able to leave the home he worked so hard to create.

Eventually Derek passed away on the 5th of July 2016 surrounded by his family who loved him.
