This rose is called the yin-yang rose because it reflects the philosophy that inside all light there is a little bit of dark and inside all dark there is a little bit of light. This has helped me through some rough times and is also symbolic of my boyfriend and I's relationship, as it was on one of the first presents he gave me.

The yin-yang rose was planted in our public rose garden in 2014.
